Bear

Bear is a young, social, and loving boy who has stolen the hearts of everyone he has come into contact with. He was also part of a large-scale confiscation case in MN involving over 80 animals that needed to be removed from the facility, 14 of which were wolfdogs.

Initially, Red Riding Hood Rescue Project was not open for intake but after a call from Brittany McDonald from Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary, it was decided that Bear was the ideal match for one of the Red’s current animals (Rougarou Charley).

Bear soon made his journey to his forever home in a tiger crate, which was too big to fit through any gate. The crew at the Red was not going to let this stop them – they cut into the fence and made it work!

One of the best compliments received during this rescue was from Amy Kowalzek, the Director of Morrison County Land Services Department in Minnesota, who said, “I am grateful that Bear has found a home at the Red Riding Hood Project. He looks amazing and finally has the opportunity to become the magnificent creature we all know he is! Thank you for taking him in and giving him the care and love that he deserves.
